WHSSPA State Convention Checklist
Work down the checklist to make sure you have everything completed in time for convention.
We hope these suggestions are particularly helpful to first time advisers.
1) WHSAA Activities Journalism Fee
($60.00) Check with your activities director to see if your school has sent this fee to the Wyoming High School Activities Association (WHSAA). This is paid at the beginning of each school year. The is a fee that all schools must pay in order to be eligible to compete in state activities in Wyoming.
2) WHSSPA Membership Fee
($40.00) This is a membership fee for the Wyoming High School Student Press Association. It is a separate fee from the fee you send in the Wyoming High School Activities Association. This fee helps pay for the keynote speaker, workshop presenters and for renting facilities for the convention. (WHSSPA
*Treasurer Greg Rohrer will include this amount when he sends you an invoice for the total amount you owe at the end of the convention. You can pay all fees at one time to the WHSSPA for the amount indicated on the invoice.)
3) Convention Registration Fees
($40.00) charge for each student and adviser attending the convention. This fee helps pay for the workshops, meeting rooms, meals, awards, student packets, etc. Fill out the Google Form titled "2017 WHSSPA Convention Entry."
($TBD) Will vary depending on the number entries you submit to the state journalism competition.) Fill out the Google Form titled "WHSSPA Convention Entry Fees." Your fees help to pay judges and keep the WHSSPA in business.
